Screen shot of Wordpress Permalink Settings on a Windows Platform

As I transitioned my personal web site from ASP.net using master pages to Wordpress 2.8.4 I found myself trying to understand why permalinks were not working. After going through a complete setup and deletion of my database as I had thought I did something incorrectly I found a note online saying that someone used index.php in the permalink structure. They did not give an explanation or nor a tutorial with a screen shot. If you find yourself on a windows platform you may need to adjust your permalink settings something relative to what I captured in wordpress image in this blog post.
